Rosemary Burke is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland. She has 18 years' experience in pensions across the whole spectrum covering the development of pension products, actuarial review of defined benefit pension schemes, investment strategies for pension funds and interpretation/implementation of changes in pension legislation and Revenue practice. More recently Rosemary Burke has also provided services to smaller regulated investment and pension companies. In particular she has acted as Head of Compliance to ensure these companies meet the standards and responsibilities required of them by governing bodies such as the Financial Regulator.
John Cronin is a practising solicitor who joined the roll of solicitors in February, 2011. Having qualified, John relocated to Chicago in order to take up with one of the largest U.S. law firms. Working in their corporate and commercial department he advised leading US and international businesses on a wide range of commercial issues. In February, 2012 John passed the New York Bar Exam and was admitted as an Attorney. Following his return to Ireland, John worked with in a leading Irish Law Firm and gained experience in advising corporate clients on general legal matters and in the area of trust law and fiduciary duty.
Michael Hickey is a practising solicitor, having been admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 1997. He has an LL.B. in law from UCG (1994) & a B.Sc. in Computer Science from UCC (1991). With over 20 years' legal experience in the areas of banking, commercial property, pensions & trust law, & brings considerable experience to DTS as general counsel & as head of Legal & Compliance. He has acted for life & pension companies, banks & pension trustees / administrators on compliance & regulatory issues, matters arising out of the Pensions Act, 1990 & the legal formalities involved in the provision of trust / trusteeship & administrative services for pensions. He also deals regularly with compliance matters surrounding family law issues (Pension Adjustment Orders on judicial separation or divorce), equality & equal pension treatment issues, etc.
Ann Courtney is a taxation and property consultant with 28 years' experience in business, with extensive knowledge gained in a number of senior roles in the larger accountancy firms including KPMG and PwC and also with Irish Life. Ann has worked in the areas of personal taxation, estate planning and more recently in the structured finance area including structured finance for transactions for life and pension funds. In addition to her business experience, Ann also has extensive further education. Having completed a B. Comm. in UCC (1991), she then also qualified as a Tax Consultant with the Institute of Taxation (1994), an Auctioneer with the Irish Institute of Auctioneers and Valuers (1994 to 1998) and as a Chartered Surveyor (1998 following direct final exam focusing on property, business and law to compliment her skill set), Ann joined DTS in 2014 and assumed the role of Operations and Development Manager.
